Your notification choices
Browser alerts are optional. JyotishAI asks for permission only after you choose Enable notifications. You can keep using the website without them.
Welcome and return messages
A new subscriber receives one welcome message. A returning subscriber may receive a different welcome-back message on a later day, with a maximum of one return message per day. Saved-reading alerts depend on the preference you choose. Browser and operating-system settings can block or delay delivery.
The 9 AM horoscope option
When the background service is active and you opt in, the scheduler runs at 9 AM India time (Asia/Kolkata). Choose a zodiac sign or general guidance. The message contains a brief editorial horoscope reflection and links to the daily horoscope page. It is not a calculated personal birth-chart prediction. A stale or incomplete daily feed is skipped rather than sent with an inaccurate date.
What the notification service stores
The service stores the browser-provided push endpoint, public encryption keys, an unsubscription token, your optional chosen zodiac sign, your daily-alert choice, and timestamps needed to avoid duplicate messages. These are held in the JyotishAI notification database on Cloudflare. Browser vendors operate the push gateway used to deliver encrypted messages.
Your date of birth, birth time, birthplace, personal question, email address and chat history are not sent to the push-subscription service. The separate horoscope form sends the details you provide for the reading as described in our privacy policy.
How to stop alerts
Open the bell icon in the website header and choose Keep notifications off. When the background service is connected, this removes its stored subscription and unsubscribes the browser. You can also block notifications in your browser or device settings. Expired subscriptions are removed when the push gateway reports them as gone.
When background delivery is not active
The notification settings state whether the 9 AM background service is available. Without that service, welcome and saved-reading notifications can only be initiated while JyotishAI is open; a browser timer is not a background delivery guarantee.
